Distinguished Name Value Type

The Distinguished Name value type represents a distinguished name (RFC1779).

Definition

An Distinguished Name value type is defined in the following manner:

attribute=value[[ , | + ] ...n ]
Item Behaviour Description
attribute Required DC, CN, OU, O, STREET, L, ST, C, UID, or SECAUTHORITY.
value Required Any escaped string. See RFC1779 for details.
, Optional A separator between multiple attribute-value pairs.
+ Optional A separator between multiple attribute-value pairs.

Predefined values

None.

Configuration

A Distinguished Name attribute value configuration has the following format:

<exampleElement exampleAttribute="CN=1234,DC=Company" />
