Cannot configure MIM to export to UNIFYBroker DN field - UI says "Field is read-only"

Adrian Corston 4 years ago in UNIFYBroker Service updated 4 years ago 7

I am trying to configure an export flow in MIM for a DN field in UNIFYBroker, and I see this error:

Image 5737

However, when I use LDP.exe to connect to UNIFYBroker via the LDAP gateway I can Add or Replace a DN value in that field successfully, so the limitation appears to be in the UNIFYBroker ECMA2 DLL rather than in UNIFYBroker itself.

Could you please advise if this is the expected behaviour?  If it is then could you comment on why the limitation exists and advise what we should do as a workaround?

Closing with assumption that this fix has been successful. Feel free to reopen the ticket if the issue persists.

Patch will be available in the next release of UNIFYBroker.

Hi Adrian,

Can you please provide your config and a copy of your MA XML? A network trace of the MA being created would also be helpful, if possible.

On it... it takes time to get files out from this customer site :-(

If you have a MIM lab somewhere, it may be easier to reproduce there and use that to retrieve files and network traces.

Hi Matt,
That DLL looks to have enabled the UI to let us add the export flow - thanks.  I'll keep an eye on it and sort out a more thorough testing regime and further discussion with you before we put it into production.

I've seen no more problems with this, but we're about to put it into the TEST environment so that will be a good test.  If no issues are seen there then I'd be pretty confident you could close this voice ticket.

Hi Matthew,

I believe this customer has passed UAT and gone live now, so all good.

Could you please let me know when this fix is available in a mainline UNIFYBroker release so I can recommend they upgrade to it, to avoid having the patch DLL?

Thanks,
A.
