Error changing CSV file location for CSV Connector in IdentityBroker

Huu Tran 11 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 7

When clicking on edit button inside the connector, it leads to the webpage: http://localhost:8008/Connector/ExtendedUpdateConnector/23d5cb8d-bfce-4519-857a-1bb0f52a1560?plugInId=CSV&currentStepId=InitialUpdateStep and display the following error:

Unify.Framework.UnifyUIException: The plug-in views directory cannot be accessed by the account. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\UNIFY Solutions\Identity Broker\Web\Views\Temp\Connector\ExtendedUpdateConnector\CSVInitialUpdateStep.cshtml' is denied.

This is a known issue - there needs to be a troubleshooting page. I believe Tony Sheehy knows the resolution.

Huu,

Can you please supply information about the version of Identity Broker?

Hi Shane,

The "About" page shows:

UNIFY Identity Broker

Huu

Tony,

Matt says you have a known work around - can you please comment?

No, Matt has not told me yet. I asked him whether I should change the access permission for the folder but he has not confirmed yet. Should I?

Hi Huu,

There is a section on the IDB prerequisites (https://unifysolutions.jira.com/wiki/display/IDB40/Prerequisites) as to how to get around this issue:

"If Identity Broker is being configured to use IIS, the application pool identity will require read and write permissions to the Identity Broker Web directory. Contact your IIS administrator, or refer to this article for information on configuring the application pool with additional permissions."

I think this might be really easy to miss however, so i've created an issue (IDB-906) to add a separate trouble shooting page.

Thanks.

It works. Thanks Tony. Closing the issue now
