When editing Rename Transformation I am only shown the first one

Carol Wapshere 8 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 5

IdB 5.0.4 RTM. In my Adapters I have both Rename transformations and Join transformations. There is a long list of attribute renames in each. I see the list in the UI but when I try to edit the list I am only shown the first one. I have had to go through the XML to make my changes.

Hi Carol,

I was able to reproduce only in IE8. I have tested a fix, and it will be available in the next release. Please either update to a more modern browser, wait until then the next release, or let me know if you'd like me to do up a patch.

Thanks.

Hi Carol,

Could you please attach a screenshot to show what you mean?

Thanks.

Sorry wish I could - I'm working in a segregated Dev env and have no internet access from there. Will try to explain a bit more:

- Adapter is linking to an Aurion connector.

- I did notice when I first set it up and it tried to give me the default renames (as all the Aurion attributes have underscores) that only one attribute was offered in the Edit screen. I had to go through and add each attribute myself.

- Looking at my fully-functioning Adapter - under Transformations I have Rename, and under that my long list of attribute renames.

- Next to Rename I click Operations the Edit Transformation,

- I see my whole list of renames with an Edit button at the bottom,

- I click Edit - I am only shown the first rename in Edit mode. I'm worried that if I do anything here it will wipe out my other renames.

The same this is happening on the Join transformation (which is joining this Adapter to a CSV connector).

Just another usability comment - when I have been setting up all these renames, every time I add a new attribute it removes my rename from the attributes above. So I have to add all the attributes first, and then go through and do the renames. I'm following a convention of applying a two-character prefix to all Adapter attributes, based on the Adapter - so I'm not just accepting the default Rename.

Hi Carol,

I've tried testing this locally and have been unable to reproduce - I created a connector with a few fields, all including underscores, and was able to rename and edit the rename perfectly fine. Are you able to provide some or all of your configuration (specifically the field names) so that I can test with the same values? You mentioned you are unable to take a screenshot, just a listing of the field names or even a photo of the config or UI would be fine.

Hi - thanks for looking into this. I am stuck with the IE version as it's the customer's standard server build - still on Win 2018R2! It's not urgent as I can work around it for now.
