Minor correction and suggestion for Cassini configuration instruction

Shane Lim 13 years ago updated by anonymous 8 years ago 11

I find the information on this page, Configuring for use with Cassini is not as straight forward and also a small omission of the .xml part of the file name.

I recommend it is changed to something similar to below

Configuration

The Event Broker Web engine configuration details can be found within the extensibility file located in %Event Broker Installation Directory%\Services\Extensibility:
Unify.Product.EventBroker.WebEnginePlugInKey.extensibility.config.xml

Thanks for the suggestion, Shane. Please let me know if this part of the page is now clearer.

Hi Matthew,

Confirmed the missing ".xml" is added.

The following sentence at the start of the page

Event Broker can run self-hosted using its own included Cassini web server option. This article details the configuration of Event Broker to use this web engine. By default, this option is enabled.

My understanding is By default (out-of-the-box installation) Event Broker UI is preconfigured and hosted by its own embedded/built-in/included Cassini web server. Rather than can run.

Pass to Matthew for review of additional comment.

Thanks Shane.

The blurb needs to be updated by someone who knows a bit more about the Cassini configuration, as does the missing explanation of configuration. Assigned to Patrick for whenever he can look at this.

Can you review this for me Matt? Cheers.

Looks good, Patrick. Of course, we'll need to change our "Cassini" references in other documents.

Shane, can you please confirm Patrick's edit that it addresses what you're after?

Hi Matthew,

The update on page https://unifysolutions.jira.com/wiki/display/EB300/Configuring+for+use+with+embedded+web+server looks good.

As Patrick mentioned, there are other "Cassini" references in other part of the document that may required update also.
Namely, I noticed on page https://unifysolutions.jira.com/wiki/display/EB300/Installing+the+Event+Broker+Service, the word "can be self-hosted" should be changed to "is self-hosted"

In addition, the reference to Cassini is broken. That is the page either deleted or renamed as this is no longer result in a hyper-link.

Re-opened and pass to Matthew for review of the comment.

Shane,

I've added that task as part of EB-225. This issue itself has been fixed.

As an aside, there is no page called Cassini, the link is different to the word the hyperlink might be on

Thank you Matthew for your clarification.

This issue is now closed.
